The Journey Behind the Lens
I didn’t start in a film studio.
I started outdoors – as a national athlete in sailing, climbing and triathlon. Later, I worked as an employee 70+ hours a week in forestry, physically demanding, deeply grounded. But after the company collapsed, I stood at a crossroads: continue the “safe” path – or risk everything for a dream?
I chose storytelling. And I haven’t looked back since.
How I Learned to See
At SAE Institute (Middlesex University London), I fell in love with light, movement and emotion. My camera became an extension of how I think. As Director of Photography and Head of Lighting, I worked on large-scale productions.
But something was missing.
Beautiful images aren’t enough.
So I dove deeper – into writing, directing, understanding what makes a message stick.
Because film isn’t just a tool – it’s a language.
Helping Brands Speak This Language
I founded my first production company in 2018, and a multimedia agency in 2019, both in Vienna. When COVID hit, I returned to my hometown in Salzburg and rebranded everything under one name: KLIMA-MEDIA.
